Now gearing up to appear in the team's third consecutive Super Bowl, the New England Patriots will be faced with quite the tall task on Sunday evening in Atlanta.

Despite the Los Angeles Rams currently on a major upswing, the Patriots will be looking to secure a second title over the course of the last three seasons.

With the big game just around the corner, the Patriots have officially released the team's list of inactive players for New England's Super Bowl LIII matchup against the Rams.

On the other hand, the Rams have also released their version of such a list — though, unfortunately for New England, there won't be any surprises found below.

Though the Patriots certainly don't need any extra help at this point, there are two notable names that did not make their way onto the aforementioned list of inactives.

Luckily for head coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots, the team will have the services of both Danny Shelton and Adrian Clayborn against the Rams.

The tandem of veteran defensive linemen are currently in the midst of their first go-rounds as members of the heralded Patriots.

The AFC East powerhouse notably came up short against the Philadelphia Eagles just a season ago, which came only one year after the Patriots upended the Atlanta Falcons in the first-ever overtime game in Super Bowl history.

Overall, the Patriots are seeking their sixth title with future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady currently preparing for his ninth career Super Bowl appearance.
