New England Patriots wide receiver N'Keal Harry suffered an injury in his NFL debut against the Detroit Lions in the preseason. After a catch in the first quarter, the rookie walked with a limp. He left the field as the training staff began to care for him. A hamstring issue hampered his training camp.
Harry was having an impressive night before the injury. He caught two passes for 36 yards in the first quarter. The second reception was a leaping contested-catch — the same play in which he suffered the injury. Currently, the severity and placement of the injury are unknown.
The Patriots have high hopes for Harry after drafting him at No. 32 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Arizona State product left college after his third year. He had back to back seasons of 1,000+ receiving yards before leaving for the NFL. In 2018, he recorded 73 receptions for 1,088 yards and nine touchdowns.

Harry's ability to body-up opponents and win with ball skills is undeniable — His experience playing inside should help and teams will love his impact as a run-blocker. His competitiveness and ability to come down with the ball could make him a productive member of wide receiver trio in short order.
Harry is expected to eventually take the place of the No. 1 wide receiver role for the Patriots. Considering that he walked off the field under his power, he may start the campaign to do so sooner rather than later.
