New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones missed the final six games of the season with a neck injury. Not only did the ailment cost the young signal-caller some valuable playing time on the field, it also revealed New York's serious depth problem behind him, as their backups struggled to even move the ball downfield. Fortunately for Jones and the Giants, things seem to be moving in the right direction in the 2022 NFL offseason. On the first day of the offseason workout program, Jones provided an exciting update on his neck injury, as reported by ESPN.
“Yeah, I'll be cleared and ready to go,” Jones said Monday during a conference call on the first day of the offseason workout program.
Jones said that he'll be “cleared and ready to go.” The fourth-year pro seems to be very confident in his health with the 2022 NFL offseason workout program set to begin.
That's exciting for the Giants, considering that the offense sunk to historically bad levels without him on the field. With Jones getting healthy and two first-round picks in the upcoming draft, New York is trending towards putting a much better product on the field on offense next year.
In what likely amounts to a make-or-break year for Jones, entering the offseason workout programs in good health is a good start.
