The New York Giants will be rolling with a familiar face ahead of their Monday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles, as Eli Manning will be their starting quarterback for Week 14. This is the first time for a while that he'll be able to play in the pocket for the Giants, and he's looking forward to proving himself once more.

NFL.com's Grant Gordon reported how offensive coordinator Mike Shula is impressed with how the two-time Super Bowl winner has been practicing ahead of his return to the field. He expects Manning to put on a show for everyone who'll watch their game.

“He looks good,” Shula told reporters on Friday, via team transcript. “He's had a good week. He always has a good look in his eye. He's been great for me as a coach, to be around. I've learned a lot from him. I look forward to watching him on Monday night.”

Manning has only played a few games at the start of the season before the Giants coaching staff decided to shake things up and give Daniel Jones control of the offense. Jones was having an alright season with 2,374 passing yards and 18 touchdowns, but his ankle sprain put a damper on his rookie run.

There are questions as to whether Manning can play at the top of his game. However, the OC believes that rust will not be an issue for him.

“Obviously, he's practiced every day,” Shula said. “He's gotten himself ready mentally and physically. It's just a matter of getting back out there.”

On the season, Eli Manning has completed 556 passing yards and two touchdowns.
