Following an 0-2 start to the season, New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur has not closed the door on rookie quarterback Daniel Jones potentially replacing Eli Manning under center for Week 3.
While nothing is set in stone just yet, it does appear that Manning's job is in jeopardy, perhaps earlier than some expected.
But the 38-year-old veteran is keeping a cool, calm approach, saying he won't be doing anything differently in the week leading up to Sunday's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Manning added that he has not held any discussions with anyone in the organization about a potential change and also brushed off a question about what his reaction would be if the Giants benched him, saying “let's stay away from the ifs.”
The Giants drafted Jones with the sixth overall pick back in April. Jones then went on to have a brilliant preseason, which ramped up talk about when Jones would replace Manning.
Manning was impressive in New York's Week 1 loss against the Dallas Cowboys, completing 30 of his 44 passes for 306 yards and a touchdown, but he put forth an ugly performance in Sunday's defeat at the hands of the Buffalo Bills, going 26-for-45 with 250 yards, a touchdown, and a couple of picks.
In Manning's defense, the Giants' receiving corps has been ravaged by injuries and suspensions, but his inconsistent play over the last two seasons remains a problem.
