The New York Giants finally managed to find a potential successor under center through the 2019 NBA Draft in quarterback Daniel Jones. Wide receiver Golden Tate is intrigued to see how things unfold at quarterback moving forward.
Although Jones is slated as the future replacement, there has been plenty of speculation regarding when that will be. According to NFL Network's Jeremy Bergman, Tate feels it is nice to have a surplus under center:

“We just need Daniel to stay on pace, learn as much as he possibly can in a great environment and just take it day by day. We don’t need him to come in tomorrow and win a game. We just need him to stay on pace. I think that’s good news in my mind.”
Tate's comments are certainly understandable. Teams can go decades without finding the right franchise quarterback to lead them to the promised land. Wide receivers are the ones that are impacted the most by what goes on under center. Tate is happy to know that he has not one but two competent options to rely on.
Tate is among the wideouts that will be tasked with helping to fill the void left by wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. after he was traded to the Cleveland Browns this offseason. He knows full well the kind of challenges that lie ahead for this rebuilding Giants team. Fortunately, he appears to be optimistic about what New York has been putting together in recent years.
Whether it is Manning or Jones under center, there is no denying that Tate will remain an integral part of the offense.
