One of the most intriguing free agents in football today is Pierre Desir, who — as a cornerback — is getting some real interest from different teams.

The latest team to express an interest is, according to USA Today, none other than the New York Giants, who have expressed a desire in wanting to work with the potential free agent.

With that said, this just might be a situation like last year. The Colts — who have helped nurture Desir's career, and where Desir has thrived nicely — may just be allowing him to test the market before re-signing him.

In 2018, Pierre Desir showed off and showed out for the Colts, especially in the latter part of the season. With the entire unit playing better, the 28-year-old emerged as a starter down the stretch and helped the secondary take a big step forward in coverage.

The Colts have expressed a desire to re-sign the cornerback, too.

But the Broncos have also expressed an interest in signing Desir, and have frequently let it be known in the press.

From the Denver ABC affiliate:

“Depending on the prism from which you view the Broncos, this could be a top priority. Pierre Desir boosted his career last season with the Colts. He has the personality and work ethic several players say would fit well in Denver. Sign him, and draft someone like Notre Dame's Julian Love.”

It should be interesting to see if Desir ends up staying with the Colts, or gets signed to a different team altogether after he formally enters free agency.
