Daniel Jones has been tasked with leading the New York Giants to an upset win over the Los Angeles Rams without his most electric target in the passing game.

Rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney left Sunday's contest during the Giants' first offensive series after re-aggravating a right ankle injury. The team subsequently announced that he would be sidelined for the game's remainder.

Toney was a limited participant in practice this week after initially injuring his ankle late in New York's loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. He was ultimately cleared to play, though, and was a fixture of New York's offense against the Rams before going down again. Toney had three catches for 36 yards on the Giants' first drive, showing off the speed and agility that have made him a fan favorite for New York early in his career.

Making matters worse for Jones and the Giants is that they were already playing without No. 1 receiver Kenny Golladay and star running back Saquon Barkley. Expect Jones to lean on Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram in the passing game, hoping to keep pace with the explosive offense of Matthew Stafford and the Rams.
