Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Giants were unable to come out of their Week 4 matchup with the New Orleans Saints with a win. It was a decent game, but the Giants were simply unable to keep up with Saints. Part of that has to do with the struggles that the offense has been going through this season.
There are no players more frustrated with the Giants' struggles that Beckham, who opened up about his thoughts on the subject in an interview shared by NFL.com.
“I don't have a Richter scale for how frustrating it is. It's definitely frustrating. It seems like it shouldn't be this hard, but it is. We've got to come out with the energy like we had last week. It's got to be everybody.”
New York's offense has the potential to be deadly, but they have not shown it just yet. Eli Manning has not had a great season once again and the players around like him like Beckham and Saquon Barkley have been unable to bail him out.
When everything was said and done, the Giants lost to the Saints by a final score of 33-18. It was a close game much of the way, but the Giants' offense could not score the football consistently.
Beckham ended up catching seven passes for 60 yards against the Saints. He has 31 receptions for 331 yards on the season, but he has yet to get into the end zone. That should be a priority for New York.
If the Giants want to get their season back on track, they will need to figure out how to get their offense firing on all cylinders. The talent is there, it's just up to Pat Shurmur to figure things out.
Expect to see the Giants get things turned around in the near future. They aren't going to be Super Bowl contenders, but their offense will give teams some trouble moving forward.
