All offseason the talk around the New York Giants was when will an extension get down with Odell Beckham Jr. According to Ian Rapport and Kim Jones of NFL Network, a deal could be done very soon and when he puts the pen to the paper it will make him the highest paid receiver in NFL history.
The #Giants and star WR Odell Beckham Jr are closing in on a 5-year, mega-extension that will make him the highest paid receiver in the NFL, sources tell me and @KimJonesSports. Well-deserved. Should be done soon. 💰💰💰

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported on Sunday that Beckham was telling people in his inner circle that a deal was in place.
In February Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported that Beckham was looking for at least 20 million dollars annually in his new contract. It's unclear what the exact total of the new contract will be for Beckham but expect it to be around that range. To compare Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is currently making around $17 million dollars annually.
The Giants selected Beckham with the 12th pick in the 2014 draft out of LSU and he has done nothing but turn heads since. He was the Associated Press Rookie of the Year and was selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons.
He has also stayed healthy for the most part during his career. He did suffer a broken ankle last year which cut his season short but other than that all he has done is produced. At times there have been questions about his antics and he has had blows ups on the sidelines but the Giants are confident that he is in a good place now and they can keep him on the straight and narrow.
