New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. may miss his third straight game after suffering a quad injury just a couple weeks ago prior to the Giants' matchup with the Washington Redskins.

OBJ is having a good season, but just like the Giants season it could have been gone a lot better. Quarterback Eli Manning just recently got into a groove and the addition of running back Saquon Barkley definitely has taken some targets away from Beckham.

Although Beckham has over 1,000 yards at this point in the season along with six touchdowns on 77 receptions, this season has been disappointing in terms of his past success. The Giants surely would like to see Beckham back out on the field this season, but if the injury is truly severe then shutting him down would be the better option.

Beckham is definitely a franchise talent and the Giants can't risk having him back for two potentially meaningless games if it will interfere with his increasingly bright future. The Giants sit at 5-9 and desperately need to win out and the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins need to lose out. That scenario is doubtful for the Giants as they face the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys, both of whom are playoff caliber teams.

OBJ could see the field in the remaining two weeks, but his future health is significant in comparison to the Giants playing spoiler for the remainder of the season.
