Prior to Week 5 action against the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made headlines after his comments that criticized his team's offense that looked to be aimed at quarterback Eli Manning.

In the days that have followed, Beckham Jr. has stuck firm to his stance while voicing that he has the full belief and support from his teammates that he doesn't see this backlash impacting him in any manner, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.

“Just chatter,” Beckham said on Tuesday. “Same approach every single day, get up, be the best that I can be. We're moving forward. My teammates, my brothers, there's nothing that can come in between us. We've had these conversations and like I said, we're all moving forward onto Philly.”

Although several of the Giants' players have stated that they didn't hear any of the comments that Beckham Jr. made in the interview with ESPN, there hasn't been any discussion of it in the locker room. Instead, the team has moved forward with their focus on Thursday's matchup against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. In fairness, there isn't any time for New York to delve into that in any great detail given how close the next game is.

At the same time, head coach Pat Shurmur did touch upon it stating that if there is any further clarity on the topic that Beckham Jr. can be asked himself about it. Meanwhile, he did decide to keep his conversation with Beckham Jr. confidential between them.

Ultimately, these comments were made to help provide an extra spark toward pushing the Giants forward toward earning a win in Week 6 against the Eagles. This could be a make-or-break game that may have a huge impact on how the rest of the 2018 campaign plays out.
