Last season, the New York Giants clinched their first playoff appearance in four years, but they fell short in disappointing fashion in a 38-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

In that rough defeat, star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had a forgettable performance. He made just four catches on 11 targets for 28 yards while also making multiple drops in the game.

It's something that Beckham said he uses as a source of motivation, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.

“You have no idea,” Beckham said Monday. “I really thought about it. … The Giants, a historical team. The Packers, a historical team. Lambeau Field. Ice cold. Perfect conditions. Everything that you can dream of.

“[I] wasn't able to capture the moment and did it in a horrible way, in a way I woke up out of my sleep to. Didn't think it was real. But I used that pain. I used that pain and I turned it into positive energy.”

It was a minor blip in what's been an impressive first three years of his career, which has seen him break multiple NFL records in the process. He has recorded at least 90 catches, 1,300 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns in each campaign, which has made him the only player in league history to accomplish that feat.

That said, Beckham Jr. is hoping to use that disappointing outing as more motivation to take the Giants to the ultimate goal of adding another Lombardi Trophy to the mantel.

“See that banner? That is all I care about,” he said, pointing to the rafters of the training facility, which contains banners honoring the Giants' four Super Bowl-winning teams. “Honestly, there is one, two, three, four in here. I don't know where they put the fifth one, but they're going to have to make room because we're going to need it.”

If anything, the loss may bring out even more from the dynamic wideout that could see him take him game to another level next season and beyond.
