New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones is continuing to earn rave reviews from his new teammates.
On Thursday, Jones made a spectacular throw to rookie running back Paul Perkins, a throw that quickly began circulating on social media and was the latest evidence that perhaps the Duke product was worth the sixth overall pick after all:
“Honestly, I didn't even think he was gonna throw it,” Perkins said, according to Giants beat writer Art Stapleton. “I was flanked out [left], it was a go ball, and as soon as I turned around, the ball was in the air. It was a great throw, the most amazing throw I've caught, no one else could've got it but me. He's got a great arm, he's a great kid, and after the play, he told me he was gonna throw it from the beginning.”
It wouldn't be the first time that Jones has looked impressive.

“He’s made excellent throws in every practice, and that was evidence to me that he has the arm to play in this league,” said Giants head coach Pat Shurmur. “We sort of knew that before we picked him.”
