New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is a divisive figure. He is one of the most talented and productive wide outs we have ever seen, but, at the same time, his attitude has caused some problems inside the Giants locker room.
He has also had trouble staying on the field throughout his career.
So, could New York actually move on from Beckham? Pat Leonard of The New York Daily News thinks it's a possibility.
Remember: the Giants just signed Beckham to a lucrative contract extension before the season started, so it seems like a strange question to ask, but that was before Beckham hinted at not being happy in the Big Apple earlier this season.
It was also before Beckham ended up missing the final four games of the 2018 campaign with a quad injury, as he has been ruled inactive for the Giants' season finale against the Dallas Cowboys this weekend.
Surely, Beckham would still have ample trade value, as he remains a dominant receiver. In 12 games this year, the 26-year-old hauled in 77 receptions for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns.
However, his injury history could scare some teams away, as Beckham has played just one full 16-game season in his five-year career.
To be fair to Beckham, recently, he has been a good soldier, voicing his support for quarterback Eli Manning and not making any comments that may come off as schismatic.
Still, given how much Beckham has aggravated New York's front office this season, nothing is guaranteed for the LSU product going forward.
