It is no secret that current New York Giants starting quarterback Eli Manning isn't getting any younger these days. As a result, the struggling NFC East franchise has been linked to just about every quarterback set to be featured in the 2019 NFL Draft class while former Missouri Tigers signal-caller Drew Lock is no exception.
According to a recent report from NFL Network, it appears as though Lock is a legitimate option for the Giants next month.

“Full-field reader offering prototypical size and arm talent, but one that has a concerning lack of accuracy and consistency against top opponents,” reads Lock's NFL.com 2019 NFL Draft profile. “Inside of each game, Lock makes reads and throws that are worthy of an early pick. There will also be plays in the same game that highlight his random inaccuracy and issues defeating pocket pressure. He has as much pure talent as any quarterback from the 2018 draft, but he won't reach that lofty potential unless he improves his accuracy and learns to play with better in-game presence.”
The Giants will be competing against both the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East while New York is looking to turn things around in a hurry after continuing to slump over the course of the last few seasons.
However, such a task may not be so easy to accomplish for the struggling franchise in 2019-20 with All-Pro wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. now a member of the Cleveland Browns and the aforementioned Manning still under center.
