The no-look pass is a tough thing to master, and while the likes of Patrick Mahomes and a small handful of quarterbacks have shown the ability to, not every player can. New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley recently learned that the hard way, as his attempt at the no-look pass went very poorly.

In a video shared by The Checkdown, Barkley is seen attempting the no-look pass, even shouting out Mahomes as he does so. Unfortunately for Barkley, things didn’t go so well, and he ended up hitting his coach with the pass.

As the Giants prepare to play their preseason opening game tonight, it’s likely that they’ll be doing so without Barkley. While he waits for the regular season to come, the star running back will continue to try and become a leader for a Giants team that is in desperate need of one. Thankfully for them, some of Barkley’s teammates, including tight end Evan Engram, are already seeing signs of him becoming a leader.
After rushing for 1,307 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, as well as registering 91 receptions for 721 yards, Barkley will continue to look and improve his game. With the Giants suffering some injuries to their wide receivers and missing Odell Beckham Jr., the team will likely be leaning on Barkley to make an even bigger impact, and thankfully for them, it seems as if he’s up for the challenge.
