Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians doesn't believe Mike Evans' injury is serious. With that said, he is hoping he'll be ready to go in their NFC Wild Card game, according to Field Yates of ESPN.

“Knock on wood, we don’t think there’s any serious damage,” Arians said after the Buccaneers' 44-27 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. “We’ll know more in the next 24 hours.”

During the first quarter of Sunday's game, Mike Evans appeared to hyperextend his knee while trying to catch a pass from Tom Brady in the end zone. According to Fox's broadcast crew, the grass was severely damp and looked like it had something to do with the injury. Evans did not return to the game and finished the contest with three receptions (four targets) for 46 yards.

Despite his injury, there was some positive news that happened to Evans against the Falcons. The 27-year-old receiver became the first NFL player to record 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first seven seasons, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

As for the Buccaneers, they'll play the winner of the NFC East division next Saturday or Sunday. If the Washington Football team wins their game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, then the Bucs will play them. However, if they lose against the Eagles, then Tampa Bay will play the New York Giants instead.

Nevertheless, it'll be a big loss for the Buccaneers if Evans isn't ready to go by next week, considering he was arguably Brady's No. 1 option this season.
