Streaming has become a massive part of the equation when it comes to broadcasting sports games, and the NFL has proven this over the past few years. The league has hammered out deals with several of the top streaming services in the world to broadcast some of their top games, and they added another company to their portfolio on Wednesday morning.

The NFL has begun hosting games on Christmas Day over the past few years, and they are dominating the NBA in viewership ratings, despite the fact that Christmas Day games have long been a tradition of their league, which is the opposite for the NFL. But now that they are playing on the big holiday, streaming services want in on the action, and it led to Netflix and the NFL agreeing to a three-year deal that makes them the exclusive streaming service for the league's Christmas Day games.

The Christmas Day games for the NFL were a hit in 2023, as the Las Vegas Raiders pulled off a shocking upset over the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Baltimore Ravens asserted themselves with a huge victory over the San Francisco 49ers. And again, the most important part of this from the league's perspective is that far more fans were tuning in to watch their games instead of the NBA's games.

We won't officially know who is playing on Christmas Day until the 2024 schedule gets released later on Wednesday, but leaks have already begun to filter out. The first matchup that has been revealed is that the Chiefs will once again be playing on Christmas, and their opponent this time around will be the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have undergone some pretty sweeping changes this offseason.

Everyone wants to watch the Chiefs play considering they are fresh off their second straight Super Bowl victory, so it shouldn't exactly be a surprise that they have landed another game on Christmas Day. The Steelers are also a very popular team among fans, and there's a lot of intrigue surrounding the team after they revamped their quarterback room with the additions of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields earlier this offseason.

While that's a pretty solid game, the NFL's other Christmas Day game may be even better. The second contest was also leaked ahead of the league's schedule release for the 2024 campaign, and it was revealed to feature the up-and-coming Houston Texans taking on a perennial AFC playoff squad in the Baltimore Ravens.

As the NFL continues to get themselves acquainted with the streaming market, they have added another company to their ever-growing list of streaming services that they have worked with. This is a big deal for Netflix, as there will be millions of fans turning to them as they look to watch these big games on Christmas, and it's safe to say they have landed a pair of great games in the first year of their new deal with the NFL.
