Former San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has made it clear he does not plan to leave his current post at Michigan for another NFL coaching opportunity.
From ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter:
“This is a choreographed message that comes up at this time every year before signing day,” Harbaugh told ESPN this weekend. “It's people spreading messages to further their own personal agenda.”
“But I'm on record right here, right now: I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying at Michigan. We have big plans here, and there's a lot we want to accomplish.”
Harbaugh is typically always mentioned for potential NFL coaching jobs due to his success and experience in the league from when he led the Niners to three consecutive NFC title games from 2011 to 2013.
Of course, he also led the team to a Super Bowl berth in 2012, and that type of pedigree will likely continue to make him a sought-after coach at the professional level.

Harbaugh has led Michigan to three 10-win seasons in his four years on the job, and it sounds like he wants to accomplish even more before entertaining the thought of returning to the league.
And that makes sense considering the magnitude of the Michigan job and all the potential success that comes along with it.
But given his past success, there's no doubt that his name will continue to come up in coaching searches as long as he's an active coach.
