FIGHT TIME! Stephen A. Smith has responded to the challenge set forth by Oakland Raiders star Derek Carr, who wants to rumble with him.
Hey @derekcarrqb…..I heard you had a few things to say. Consider this a personal invitation. You are more than welcome to come on @FirstTake or sit down with me for a 1-on-1. I’m here, Bro! Nobody hiding.

Smith brought the smoke to the quarterback after Carr took to Twitter to complain about Smith, questioning his character.
Derek Carr said that he blocked everyone on Twitter for “talking trash” about the team.
😂it’s because I blocked them both for talking trash about our team. Those 2 clowns don’t know anything about this game. Would love to actually sit and break down film with these two on tv just to show their viewers how incompetent (lacking qualification) they are about our game.

The self-proclaimed “follower of Christ” then asked the UFC about possibly challenging “clowns” (referring to Stephen A. Smith and the First Take crew) to a televised octagon match.
@ufc @danawhite hey how do I challenge a couple of these clowns on tv to a fight? I think we should start a business together. Where pro athletes can challenge some of these people to an octagon fight until they give us an answer…. You don’t know me… stop lying.

Apparently, Derek Carr not only wants the smoke from Stephen A. Smith, he wants the smoke from Max Kellerman, too.
When a Twitter user pointed out the absurdity of his request to the organization that employs Conor McGregor, the fighting pride of Ireland, Carr immediately went on the defense.
Yes..say what you want but don’t question somebodies character as a man if you don’t know them. Our job as NFL athletes is to try and leave the game better for the next generations. So let’s start an octagon business to give some accountability to these kinds of people. 😉😂👊🏼

Even Darren Carr — Derek Carr's brother — joined the fray to share his two cents.
There’s literally no reason for him to do it, there’d only be 1 expert on stage, plus you couldn’t afford him, y’all broke and have zero class..
See if Hunter Henry is interested in speaking about his great year he had. 🤡— Darren Carr (@DCarr75) January 24, 2019
About 10 hours later, Carr returned back to Twitter and started quoting the Bible.
I should probably be better at this 😉🤦🏻♂️ pic.twitter.com/v27yJgRs62

We're not sure when football became Love and Hip Hop, but here we are. We'll keep you apprised of if, and when, Carr and Smith take to the octagon to duke it out.
All that smack-talking, and Derek Carr still had a disappointing 4–12 record this season with the Raiders. That said, he also finished the season with a career-high 4,049 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
Hopefully, we will all have the opportunity to watch Carr and Smith sit down on First Take to discuss their differences in verbal form.
