“We want Haskins! We want Haskins! We want Haskins!” is what Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum heard while his team entered halftime down 28-3 to the Chicago Bears at home, in Landover, Maryland.
HUGE “WE WANT HASKINS” CHANTS. 👀

The Redskins' faithful clearly had enough of Keenum after his first half of play, in which he went nine for 14 for 92 yards, no scores, and two interceptions (including a pick-six). Instead, they want to see their rookie quarterback, Dwayne Haskins, whom Washington selected with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Nonetheless, those still lingering at FedEx Field watched Keenum trot out as the quarterback at the end of halftime. No Haskins, despite the chants.
Article Continues BelowCoach Jay Gruden will eventually play his rookie quarterback. He's highly touted, considered pro-ready, and is a first-round selection. The real question is when he'll do so. Does playing Haskins in a blowout against a feisty Khalil Mack-led defense make sense? Perhaps, considering fans at least want to see promise if they paid so much for tickets.
To a further extent, does Washington want to play their supposed franchise quarterback behind that offensive line? The one without seven-time Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams. The one that the Bears defense found to be easy to get by? Maybe not.
Haskins is an undoubtedly talented prospect. At Ohio State, he broke multiple passing records en route to being a Heisman Trophy finalist. If Keenum's game continues to get worse, the Washington faithful may get their very vocal wish and see the shiny new rookie quarterback.
