The Washington Redskins played an ugly game in their 31-15 loss to the Chicago Bears on “Monday Night Football.” Yet, there was a positive from the game: rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin rewrote the history books.
McLaurin, a former Ohio State Buckeye, became the first player in NFL history to tally at least five receptions and a touchdown in a wide receiver's first three games played. He finished the night with six receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown.
In McLaurin's previous game, a loss to the Dallas Cowboys, he tallied five receptions for 62 yards and a score. His first in the NFL was his breakout game. In a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the rookie recorded an eye-popping five receptions for 125 yards and a score.

The rookie can scorch defenses with speed alone and has shown physicality and strong hands to work the middle of the field. It helps that he's a fluid route-runner that possesses a broad vertical route tree.
Quarterback Case Keenum has found his favorite option in McLaurin. That may not be for long, however, after Keenum turned the ball over five times on Monday. Luckily, for the rookie wide-out, the quarterback primed to replace him just so happens to be Dwayne Haskins.
Both Terry McLaurin and Haskins played at Ohio State. In Haskins' lone season as a full-time starter, he found McLaurin 35 times for 701 yards and 11 touchdowns. When Washington makes that quarterback switch, McLaurin should continue to produce.
