Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is tasked with a lot by the National Football League franchise. Due to that, he's not only the man responsible for hurling the football down the field, but Newton is also vital to Carolina's running game.

It is why the latest stuff coming out of Newton's mouth should have the Panthers reevaluating how their offense is run.

This is after an offseason saw Cam Newton claim his shoulder was fine.

While a bit of conjecture, this is a rather easy connecting of the dots. Carolina uses him for nearly everything on offense, his fine-ish shoulder starts to take a beating, and now it begins to hurt from time to time.

If we are to do a bit of a projection, if the Panthers continue to jump on the back of Cam Newton for every little thing, it could only be a matter of time before this starts to bother him on the days that matter.

To discuss this with a bit more worries attached to it; if Cam Newton is having issues with his shoulder to the point it is bothering him while trying to sleep, how long until he gets fed up by all of this? Say what you want about the gunslinger, and whether or not he's one of the better signal-callers in the NFL, the Panthers can't afford to fall on his bad side.

Knowing all of this now, it will be interesting to watch Carolina's offense moving forward. Will the team and coaching staff do anything to protect the quarterback?
