With Russell Wilson no longer with the Seattle Seahawks, there has been much speculation on what's going to happen with wide receiver DK Metcalf.
Stars at his position have been a hot commodity this offseason, with several asset-rich trades and high-value contract extensions being made left and right for elite pass-catchers. DK Metcalf, who just so happens to be one of them, is on the final year of his rookie deal after being drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
With Seattle not going anywhere fast, at least on paper, trade whispers have been drumming up around the Seahawks star as an extension still hasn't come to fruition.
But DK Metcalf's latest statement on a recent appearance on Club Shay Shay could put those trade rumors to rest. Asked by Shannon Sharpe about his next big payday, the Seahawks Pro Bowler was vocal on letting the cards fall as they may.

I can't think about it too much cause I'll drive myself crazy. So I've just been enjoying this offseason. Enjoying life. Taking it a day at a time. I know it may sound cliche but that's really how I'm living right now.”
It's a foregone conclusion that DK Metcalf is going to make bank sooner rather than later. According to him, all signs point to it happening with the Seahawks.
“I will say we're going to get something done. I think I'm going to be in Seattle for the next coming years.”

DK Metcalf wants to be a part of the future in Seattle. All that's left is getting pen to paper on a new deal.
