The 2020 NFL regular season schedule was announced. And with it, comes all the talk. Who has the easiest schedules? Which teams have the hardest task ahead of them? Who gets to stay close to home and who is set to travel the most? Well, now we know who is logging the most miles. And funnily enough, most of those teams are staying in the same division – the NFC West.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the NFC West is going to be moving around a lot. The Seattle Seahawks are at the top of the “miles” list, with the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers right behind them.

This really should not come as much of a surprise to anyone if we're being honest. There are not many West Coast teams. Meanwhile, the East Coast is suffocated by teams.

Due to that, of course NFC West teams will have to travel more. Just look at the Seahawks' schedule for instance. They play the away against the Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins.

That right there is going to hike up those miles quite a bit.

There's a strong argument that miles traveled does not mean much. Each team still gets about a week to rest between games. So going a little longer on the flight each week shouldn't mean much.

However, that's a pretty massive difference between the Seahawks and the Baltimore Ravens. Almost 23,000 to be exact. It's not hard to imagine all that extra travel time weighing on the team at least a little bit.

It will be interesting to see if the Seahawks let this hurt them at all. At the same time though, as a West Coast team, it's something they are probably used to by now.
