Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is preparing his team for their Wild Card Round matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night, and part of that preparation may consist of getting ready to deal with Cowboys Stadium.

Carroll thinks the stadium is a strange venue and that it is kind of hard to get used to, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk:

“I think their scoreboard may get in the way of the sound — bounces back at you or something, I don’t know,” Carroll told reporters. “It’s a real glitzy place, you know? When you come out of a football locker room ready to play football and you go into a night club — it’s kind of like we’re in the club, then wait a minute, you’ve got to play ball. Then you come back through the club and they’re all . . . anyways, it’s unusual. Then they’re right there with you too. Those people that are sitting behind us, I don’t know how they see the game. It doesn’t look like they care, they’re having such a good time. It’s an unusual place.”

The scoreboard may get in the way of more than just sound, as the massive screen has also affected punts in the past.

Dallas has used the stadium to its advantage this season, as well, posting a 7-1 home record in 2018.

The Seahawks won 10 games this year, returning to the playoffs after a short one-year hiatus. Prior to last season, Seattle had made five straight postseason appearances, including back-to-back trips to the Super Bowl in 2013-14 and 2014-15. The former appearance resulted in a Super Bowl win over the Denver Broncos.
