Early on in the season, Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson had some issues with ball security, as he fumbled in each of the team's first three games.

But over the last couple of weeks, Carson has shed his fumbling problem and has put forth a couple of monster performances, and Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says he is glad he stuck with his halfback:

“Isn’t it great we didn’t give up on him? ‘Oh, sit him down. Don’t let him play.’ BS on that,” Carroll said after Seattle's 30-29 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night, according to Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune.

Carson carried the ball 27 times for 118 yards while also catching a five-yard touchdown pass in the victory. Last week, Carson racked up 104 yards off of 22 attempts in what ended up being a loss to the New Orleans Saints.

On the season overall, he has rushed for 380 yards and a score while averaging four yards per carry.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Oklahoma State, was originally selected by the Seahawks in the seventh round (249th pick overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

After a quiet rookie campaign in which Carson logged just 208 yards on the ground, he broke out last season, totaling 1,151 yards and nine touchdowns while registering 4.7 yards per attempt. He also fumbled just three times in all of 2017 and 2018.

The Seahawks improved to 4-1 with their win over the Rams and will now head on the road to take on the Cleveland Browns next Sunday.
