Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll shared his thoughts on the current status of America and racial injustice in the world.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network on Twitter, Carroll says that his black players have made something clear – they are “living scared to death”.
#Seahawks coach Pete Carroll used his entire media conference to deliver a monologue on ending racism, calling on all coaches to step up. Says his Black players have made clear: "They're living scared to death." All his players will be officially registered to vote today.

There are a few things to unpack right there.
First of all, Carroll delivered a “monologue” on ending racism. In that monologue, he called on all coaches to step up. This shows that it was not just a one-off line – it was clearly something that the head coach has been thinking about for some time.
Second, that's a very powerful statement right there. It appears that the Black players of Carroll have made their message very clear. And it's important to listen to them and try to figure out how to make changes.
Finally, that last sentence is very important. All Carroll's players will be officially registered to vote today. So that likely means all the Seahawks players will register to vote, if they had not already done so.
Meanwhile, you could probably guess that all the coaches on the staff and other personnel in the organization will be highly encouraged to do the same as well.
With the great relationship Carroll has formed with a lot of his players, don't be surprised if former players of his are reached out to as well and they are registered to vote.
Carroll had his message and he made it clear. He did not stop there though. The head coach is making sure he is part of the change that he so obviously wants to see happen. By making sure that he and all his players are registered to vote, he is giving everyone a voice and a chance to impact the future.
It's a strong message, and one that everyone should listen too. This is a perfect time to remind everyone to make sure they are registered to vote as well.
