The Seattle Seahawks finally were able to reach an agreement on a contract extension with quarterback Russell Wilson. While it may not have surprised many that the deal was made, the money Wilson gets as well as the details in the trade a bit more surprising.
Wilson claimed the fact the team including a no-trade clause in the new deal sealed the deal for him. Now Wilson has the peace of mind knowing he has full control over his career.
The Seahawks drafted Wilson back in 2012 and he has already had a very successful career in the short time he has been in the league. Although Wilson has had tough time with the team providing him solid pass-catchers he has always performed above and beyond.
Wilson voiced that he would love to be one of the rare athletes that sticks with one team for the entirety of his career.
