Rumblings of a rumored split between quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks are growing louder. Most of the recent trade chatter is reportedly stemming from issues between Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll. However, according to The Athletic, it seems like the problems run deeper than just the 69-year old. Apparently, Wilson and people around his circle have also grown frustrated towards Pete's sons as well.

Pete's sons Nate Carroll and Brennan Carroll have been with the Seahawks as offensive assistant coaches. Brennan recently made the jump to the Wildcats at the University of Arizona. Meanwhile, Nate, who still serves as Seattle's wide receivers coach, expressed frustration over his current role.

It seems like Wilson doesn't want to get involved anymore in the Carrolls' family affairs in Seattle. This is certainly another layer of drama that could potentially spell the doom of Wilson's exit from the Seahawks.

Earlier this month, Wilson publicly voiced out his frustration with Seattle for its failure to protect him. He also admitted he wanted to have been more involved in making personnel decisions. However, with Pete Carroll also serving as executive vice president, it may be harder to get the word across considering his sons are also on staff.

Wilson's expression of grievances prompted other teams around the league to call the Seahawks and inquire about the 8-time Pro-Bowler's availability. Moreover, though they have yet to formally request a trade from Seattle, Wilson and his team have also reportedly laid out potential trade destinations for the one-time Super Bowl champ. Among those on the 32-year old's radar include the New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, and Chicago Bears.
