Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss thinks Antonio Brown's NFL career is over after he walked out on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mid-game against the New York Jets.
As everyone probably knows by now, Brown made headlines on Sunday in Week 17 after he took off his jersey and gear before running off the field shirtless during the third quarter of the contest. He apparently refused to get in the game despite Bruce Arians' order, though he was reportedly concerned about his ankle injury.
Regardless of the reason, however, Moss expressed his belief that Brown was out of line for walking off the field and leaving his team while the game was happening. He also highlighted how AB left despite Mike Evans talking to him on the sidelines to calm him down, albeit to no avail:
“I’ve said this time and time again about the code, the brotherhood, and let me say it again. We don’t care as players what you do during the week. We care about the three hours that we come together as one. I know that there are a lot of people that are going to be talking about the mental health issues. If it’s a mental health issue for Antonio Brown, so be it, let it be serious. But the way that we’re taking mental health issues in our country is very serious, so I don’t want it to be a cop-out where you’re taking mental health over here versus stupidity. You look at some of the things that Antonio Brown did yesterday, that was stupid,” Randy Moss said, per The Spun.
“One thing that really stood out to me that I was just shaking my head ‘oh no,' I know what kind of teammate, I know what type of person Mike Evans is. I know what he stands for. And for Mike Evans to go over there and try to calm Antonio Brown because ‘you need to fight with me, we’re here to play football’ but Antonio Brown took it upon himself, ‘you know what, the heck with all you guys.’ So to answer your question, Suzy, will he be on another team? The question is, who would want to play with Antonio Brown?”
While the Buccaneers have yet to make an official decision on Antonio Brown, Bruce Arians did say after Sunday's game that the former Pro Bowl wide receiver is now gone from the team. And as Randy Moss said it, AB might have a difficult time finding a new team.

There is no doubt the talent is there, but considering all the issues he has had this 2021 — from his fake COVID-19 vaccine card to quitting on the Buccaneers mid-game — it is certainly safe to think other teams will be cautious in taking him.

There is also the question on whether players would be willing to play with him. Given all the off-field distractions he brings, there is the question if it is even worth it taking a gamble on him.
If it is indeed a mental health issue, here's to hoping that Brown gets the treatment and help he needs. But as far as his career goes, he might have just put the last nail in the coffin with his rather shocking actions that sent the whole sports world talking and buzzing.
