Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady may have already found himself on a new team but he continues to support his former New England Patriots teammates with their respective endeavors. Seymour acknowledged the shoutout given by the Buccaneers star and recognized the impact that his former quarterback had on his development as a player:

He also took a jab on the game officials of Super Bowl XLII where he was held on the helmet by numerous New York Giants linemen as he was pressuring opposing quarterback Eli Manning. The infamous ‘Helmet Catch' play caused the Patriots to narrowly lose the championship game to Big Blue on a 17-14 decision.

Seymour spent his first eight seasons in the league with the Patriots after being selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. He eventually earned five consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl along with three Super Bowl titles. Way before Brady moved to the Buccaneers, Seymour was a dominant figure in Foxborough alongside the QB for the Patriots dynasty.

The former Georgia standout was traded to the then-Oakland Raiders back in the 2009 season. He stayed with the team for four seasons and earned two more Pro Bowl appearances before officially retiring after the 2012 season.

Richard Seymour is already in his third year of eligibility after failing to make the cut in 2019 and 2020. He serves as one of 15 finalists and will be competing with Peyton Manning, Charles Woodson, and Reggie Wayne, among others, for a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. And if the Buccaneers QB had his vote, Seymour would certainly be a shoe-in.
