Tom Brady isn’t just the greatest football player of all time. His card also holds the distinction of being the most expensive football card ever. Brady’s BGS 8.5 2000 Panini Playoff Contenders Championship Ticket Rookie Auto was sold at the start of March for $1.32 million. By next month, that record is going to be broken again by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback.

Another BGS 8.5 of the same card has resurfaced in an auction being conducted by Lelands. As of the moment, it has already reached a price of $1,877,379  and is expected to break the $2 million mark. The auction scheduled to end on April 2. The card’s current auction price is more than enough to break the current record set a couple of weeks ago.

According to Lelands, this Tom Brady card was purchased from an eBay auction over a decade ago by its previous owner, who wishes to remain anonymous. It has been kept safe in a private collection until a decision was reached to have it auctioned.

When that happens, there will be a new football card that will stand tall above the others. And with Tom Brady’s legendary career driving the value of his cards, this one will have a bright and strong future ahead of it.
