Ohio State football quarterback Kyle McCord believes his teammate, wideout Marvin Harrison, Jr., should be in the Heisman Trophy conversation.

Kyle McCord shared his sentiments about Marvin Harrison, Jr. after Ohio State football demolished Michigan State 38-3 on Saturday, per WBNS 10TV.

“I can't really quantify how impactful he is to this offense. I think there are one-on-one situations he obviously wins. I think there are situations where he takes two defenders with him. If they want to double  him, somebody else is open. I think he does a good job blocking, too,” Kyle McCord said.

“He does so much for the offense. I think I said this about a month ago: if it's truly the award that goes to the best player, he has to be right there in contention,” McCord added.

Marvin Harrison, Jr. was a one-man wrecking crew against Michigan State football on Saturday. He had 168 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in the rout. Harrison had 149 receiving touchdowns on just seven receptions on the day.

Kyle McCord also had himself a game. He completed 24 of 31 passes for a career-high 335 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

Marvin Harrison, Jr. made Ohio State football history this past weekend. The sensational junior wideout became the first player in program history to record multiple 1,000-yard receiving seasons.

Harrison did something Cris Carter, Michael Thomas, and Joey Galloway never accomplished during their time in Columbus, OH. Harrison could soon end up on Ohio State football's Mt. Rushmore of wide receivers.

Marvin Harrison, Jr. has been so good Ohio State has been pushing for his Heisman Trophy candidacy in the past few weeks. He could compete against guys such as Caleb Williams, Michael Penix, Jr., and Jayden Daniels for the prestigious accolade.
