Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers went on the Pat McAfee Show last week and proceeded to go on a 46-minute rant about the COVID-19 vaccine and why he never received it. During that interview, Rodgers said a lot of wild things but he's since apologized for all of it. Via Albert Breer:
Packers QB @AaronRodgers12 on @PatMcAfeeShow: "I made some comments that people might've felt were misleading. … I take full responsibility for those comments."
Says he's "feeling better", excited to get back to playing.

The Packers star tested positive for COVID-19 last week which is why he spoke on the matter. A lot of people were left confused because Rodgers said he was immunized before the season began, which led many to believe that meant vaccinated. Instead, Rodgers actually said on the Pat McAfee Show he is allergic to an ingredient in the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and chose to get “immunized” against the virus because of a recommendation from Joe Rogan.
Rodgers has clearly realized everything he said rubbed a lot of the NFL community and fans the wrong way, which is why he's now made it clear that playing football for the Packers is the only focus:
Back on the @PatMcAfeeShow, #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers says these will be his final public comments on the vaccination issue.
"I'm an athlete, I'm not activist, and I'm going to get back to doing what I do best, and that's playing ball."

The whole allergy thing is interesting though and could be valid. However, we'll likely never know if the Packers signal-caller is telling the truth or not. As he said on Tuesday, Rodgers won't be discussing his vaccination status anymore but given that he hasn't got either dose, you'd have to believe the unvaccinated NFL rules will apply to him moving forward in team facilities and on the sidelines.
