After recovering from COVID-19, Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers made his anticipated return on Sunday night against the Seattle Seahawks. While his performance was below par his caliber, he led the squad to a 17-0 shutout victory.

Of course, even after their impressive win, the story after the game also centered on the recent controversy involving Rodgers. He faced tight scrutiny over the past few weeks for his misleading statements about vaccination. But it's clear the reigning MVP is ready to move on from it (via ESPN).

“There’s always going to be criticism in this world. I don’t define myself by the criticism, but I understand it’s a part of this because this issue is definitely polarizing.”

Rodgers finished 23-of-37 for 292 yards, helping the Packers get their eighth win in their last nine assignments to tie the Arizona Cardinals for the best record in the NFC at 8-2 apiece.

Rodgers admitted to reporters that he was almost overcome with emotions after getting their latest victory.

“Good to be back with the guys, good to be back at home, good to be on the field, really. The most emotions from the whole night was probably walking off the field after the game. It definitely got me a little misty.”

It hasn't been an easy campaign for Aaron Rodgers, who was linked to trade rumors in the offseason. But with the vaccination controversy behind him, he can now regain his focus on steering the Packers back to the Super Bowl.
