Aaron Rodgers remains excited about the Green Bay Packers' wide receiving corps and what they can do. After all, he knows very well the potential they have with Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb leading the way.

However, at the end of the day, Rodgers wants his wide receivers to remember one thing: production is more important than potential.

“I like production over potential. We have some production. We have a lot of potential. So we need to temper expectations and heighten the accountability,” Rodgers said, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. “I think that’s the most important thing for those guys. There are guys who’ve done some things in the league and there are guys that haven’t and they’re going to get opportunities, so reasonable expectations for those guys and then high expectations and accountability for the entire room.”

The Packers are facing a lot of questions heading to the 2022 season after the departure of their no. 1 wideout in Davante Adams. With their top guy gone, all eyes will be on Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb and the rest of the group.

As Aaron Rodgers said it, while it is clear their wide receiving corps has plenty of talent to succeed, it is still unknown if they can translate it to positive numbers and actual wins.

Fortunately for the Packers, at least they have a leader in Rodgers who knows how to push his teammates and make them better. Hopefully, the rest of Green Bay responds and steps up to the challenge.
