While teams such as the Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos have been linked to the reigning NFL MVP, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst made a shocking revelation on Tuesday which could pour cold water on some of the rumors, via Tom Silverstein.

Per Silverstein, Gutekunst was asked if any team had inquired about the Packers' asking price for Rodgers, or even if they had asked him to give them a heads up if the team decides to part ways with the 38-year-old. Gutekunst had the same reply to both questions, denying that any such activity had occurred.

Of course, this doesn't rule out the possibility of Rodgers leaving the Packers this offseason, and there's also a real chance that Gutekunst was just playing his cards close to his chest rather than revealing that he had held talks involving the franchise quarterback.

As the NFL offseason gets further underway, the conversation regarding Rodgers' future in Green Bay will only heat up, until a decision is made one way or the other. It seems like it could still be some time until that decision gets made, however, as based on Gutekunst's comments, the conversations required to facilitate a Rodgers trade have not even been initiated.

The Packers have voiced their desire to retain Rodgers in the past, though ultimately he could request a trade and get the move he's supposedly seeking.
