The Green Bay Packers have released wide receiver J'Mon Moore, per the Green Bay Press-Gazette‘s Ryan Wood. As Wood notes, he's had a tough camp and seemed to know the writing was on the wall on Thursday night after the preseason finale.

After the preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs in which Moore received two targets (for an interception and seven yards), Moore said, per Jim Owczarski and Tom Silverstein of Packers News.com:

“It is what it is, man. That’s all I can say. It is what it is. I’m just ready to … whatever, man.”

A fourth-round pick in 2018, Moore saw his job on the roster slip away to other young hopefuls. In four games of preseason play, he caught four passes for 19 yards and a score. He knew, after Thursday's game, that the end may have be over.

“Just got the real short end of the stick,” Moore said, per Packers News. “Don’t know why. I’m not going to ask why. I’m going to be all right though, for sure. I’ll be ready. I have no doubt what it is that I can do and I’m going to do it. It’s all good.”

Though Moore is looking for his new home, he's ready and hungry to make a difference, as he brought that mindset into training camp.

Moore said as training camp started, per Packers News:

“I’ve still got that hunger and that fire built up in me because I know what people might think just based off of first-year ups and downs,” he said. “I’ve still got that fire up underneath me. I’m still hungry as hell and I gotta eat, so that’s the plan.”

Now, he'll be looking to bring that fire to another team.
