It sounds like it's going to be a busy offseason for the Green Bay Packers. The front office has already made numerous moves and there are still other players on the roster deserving of a big contract extension. Although the top priority should be Davante Adams, Jaire Alexander looks to secure the bag himself.

According to Matt Schneidman, Jaire Alexander hopes to earn a contract that would make him the highest-paid cornerback in the league. If Alexander and Adams reach long-term deals with the Packers, Green Bay will have three massive contracts under their belt. Aaron Rodgers is already the highest-paid player in NFL history while both Alexander and Adams aim to be the highest-paid player within their respective positions.

Similar to Davante Adams, Jaire Alexander has proven to be one of the most reliable options at his position. Alexander has been a shutdown cornerback throughout his career and wants to be paid for his efforts. This puts the Packers in a tough spot financially, as the franchise was tight on money, to begin with. Regardless, we've seen teams find loopholes to re-sign their top talent. For that reason, it wouldn't be shocking to see Green Bay do the same.

We'll see how it all plays out. The Packers have proven they're willing to pay their players, as Preston Smith signed a long-term deal on Monday. However, pressure is surmounting on the front office, as Green Bay would like to avoid letting Jaire Alexander enter free agency. If he does, there's a chance the team loses their superstar cornerback altogether.

Keep an eye on Jaire Alexander and Davante Adams, as they could each receive an extension between now and March 16 when the free agency window opens.
