Could Landon Collins be preparing to join the Green Bay Packers? An exchange between Collins and former Packer safety HaHa Clinton-Dix seems to indicate that that may be the case.

Collins is set to be a free agent this month unless he is able to come to an agreement with the New York Giants. There has been talk that the Giants could place a franchise tag on the safety, but if that occurs, rumors say that Collins will hold out all offseason.

The 25-year-old is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he registered 96 tackles, a forced fumble, and four passes defended in 12 games en route to a Pro Bowl selection. He missed the final four games of the regular season due to a shoulder injury that ultimately required surgery.

Collins, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by New York in the second round (33rd pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He started all 16 games during his rookie campaign, finishing with 108 stops, an interception, a forced fumble, and nine passes defended.

Then, the following year, Collins broke out, racking up 125 tackles, four sacks, five picks, a fumble recovery, 13 passes defended, and a defensive touchdown. As a result, Collins made the Pro Bowl and earned a First-Team All-Pro selection.

He was impressive again in 2017, totaling 99 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a couple of fumble recoveries, and six passes defended, earning another trip to Honolulu.

The Packers could certainly use some help defensively, and signing Collins would go a long way to helping in that area.
