The Green Bay Packers are fortunate to have two running backs on their roster that they feel really good about. With shifty star Aaron Jones and bruiser AJ Dillon, the Packers possess a dynamic duo capable of handling the rushing workload together. Not only does this allow Green Bay to keep both backs on the healthier side, but it also makes them tougher to defend against. While Jones is regarded as one of the better backs in the league- and is perhaps even a bit underrated at times- Dillon has a ways to go before he reaches that tier. However, Dillon's own head coach might not agree with that sentiment. Matt LaFleur was asked about Dillon at the NFL Combine and the Packers head coach offered a bold declaration that should scare the rest of the NFL, via Packers Wire of USA Today.

LaFleur called Dillon a “premier back” and said he’s only just starting to realize his immense potential.

“I think A.J. is just scratching the surface of what he can become,” LaFleur said.

Matt LaFleur believes that AJ Dillon is a “premier back” and is only “just scratching the surface of what he can become.” Those are strong words from LaFleur.

Dillon, who was used sparingly during his rookie season, took a huge step forward this past season, totaling over 1000 scrimmage yards and seven total touchdowns. The bruising halfback is just 23 years old and shockingly finished second to only Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts in PFF grade.

It would seem that LaFleur is exactly right about Dillon. That's great news for the Packers- and scary for the NFL.
