Fernando Tatis Jr. continues to do unthinkable things on a nightly basis. The San Diego Padres shortstop has quickly become one of the faces of the MLB for his play on the field and the excitement he brings to the game. On Thursday against the Miami Marlins, Tatis became the fastest player in MLB history to have 50 homers and 50 stolen bases when he stole second in impressive fashion.

Seriously, what can't Tatis do?

He hits homers, plays defense, steals bases, does anything and everything, and has provided the Padres with a major spark since coming up to the MLB a few years ago.

Tatis was named as an All-Star starter for the National League, becoming the first Padres player to receive the honor since Tony Gwynn nearly 20 years ago.

Throughout his career, he has a total of 68 home runs and 50 stolen bases after the snag on Thursday and a career .298 batting average with 164 RBIs. Oh, and he is only 22 years old and still has a long way to go, especially after inking a massive 14-year, $340 million extension prior to the 2021 season.

Padres fans, and baseball fans in general, keep enjoying watching Fernando Tatis Jr. defy the odds on a nightly basis. Surely he will break more records before his career ends.
