Antonio Brown and Randy Moss' journeys to the New England Patriots draw some parallels. Brown grew unhappy with the Pittsburgh Steelers, then did the same thing with the Oakland Raiders despite not playing a snap.

Moss got traded from the Minnesota Vikings to Oakland, where he, like Brown, was unhappy and shortly after found himself in Foxborough.

According to former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi, those comparisons must be halted, as he said on Sunday on ESPN's “Sunday Countdown:

“Stop all the Randy Moss comparisons, because it’s different, because I played with this guy (Moss) when he came in. We had conversations when he came in, and it was all about winning football games. That’s what it was about. That’s what Randy wanted to experience. We experienced that. We didn’t finish the job in the Super Bowl. We didn’t get it done. But still, but still it was about winning football games.”

Bruschi emphasizes that Moss' arrival was all about winning for the receiver, Brown is different, as his acts in the offseason are centered around himself. Said Bruschi:

“Antonio Brown is different, based on all his activity in the last year, it’s all about himself. It’s selfish. “That’s my opinion of his behavior up until this point. So he basically, by being signed by the Patriots, everything is important there: walkthroughs, meetings, practices, meetings after practice. Everything is important. Saturday walkthroughs — you’ve got to be there. You’re got to be present.”

The ESPN analyst then raises the question:

“He has to change. Is that possible? Can he change and be someone that can be reliable on a team that needs him?”

However, as he says, “when you first enter the Patriot locker room the slate is clean.”

The Patriots aren't foreign to the idea of bringing in polarizing figures. Brown is just another addition to that. However, the ones that have thrived — such as Moss — buy into the system, the ones that don't — such as Chad Johnson — aren't there for very long.

Bruschi doesn't know if Brown is the type of guy that will buy in like Moss once did.
