As if fans haven't seen this headline before: ‘Tiger Woods Heating Up in PGA.' There's no doubt it's a headline that sports fans have seen consistently over the last 25 years.

However, it's something golf aficionados will never get tired of. Indeed, Tiger went lights out on the back nine, birdieing four times in five holes during the second round of the Zozo Championship at Sherwood..

Although Tiger Woods shot a +4 in the tournament, well out of shot to make a run at the PGA championship, there's still nothing like Tiger beginning to illustrate his excellence on the course.

Despite an excellent back 9, Tiger shot a 76 on day two, his highest score in 49 matches at the Zozo Championship. His +4 effort moves him to -2 for the tournament.

Looking purely at the numbers, fans would see something that no one wants to admit seeing: an aging Tiger is ranked 28th in the world and is on his decline.

But watching Tiger in that back nine, fans would see that he still shows flashes of brilliance. His ranking is not an accurate representation of his current caliber as a golfer.

Woods still has the talent to win any major on the PGA tour, and it was undoubtedly great to see some vintage Tiger at the 2020 Zozo Championship.

This PGA tournament, however, has seen some real dominance from one of the best in the game, Justin Thomas.

Thomas is currently at the top of the leaderboards with a -14, thanks to back to back 65's. Thomas has been playing excellent golf as of late and has really improved his putting over the last few tournaments. Thomas is currently ranked as the third best golfer on the PGA Tour.
