Princess Kate, born Kate Middleton, has made her first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis was announced earlier this year. She attended the Trooping Colour parade alongside her husband, Prince William, and their three children, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis. Royal family members such as King Charles III and Queen Camilla were also in attendance.

Kate wore a white and black ensemble created by Jenny Packham. The white dress had black trim, and she also wore a matching hat designed by Philip Treacy and white pumps.

In videos uploaded to social media, Princess Kate is seen in a carriage with her children in a carriage as it drove down the Mall. Later, Princess Kate is seen with the rest of the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

Kate shared an update about her cancer treatment and the progress she has made while undergoing her chemotherapy treatments.

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” Kate said in a written message shared by Kensington Palace on Friday (June 14). “On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”

Kate is “not out of the woods” yet and will continue her treatment “for a few more months.”

“On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home,” she added.

Kate informed the public of her undisclosed cancer diagnosis back in March. In a video shared to the royal couple's official Instagram, Kate told the public about the current state of her health amid rumors that were plaguing the internet on her whereabouts.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous,” the royal mom explained. “The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

“But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok,” she said referring to her three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5. “As I have said to them; I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits.”
