A year later since its release, Sony's PlayStation 5 remains to be the country's top console of choice. The PS5 is the most popular toy in the United States, beating out all other competitors.
According to a new study by The Toy Zone, analyzing Google Search data, the PS5 remains to be on top of gaming-related searches in the country. In contrast, the Xbox Series X is the most-searched by our Canadian neighbors. In summary, PlayStation consoles remain top-of-choice among 112 countries, with 71 out of these 112 countries searching for PS4 more than the PS5. The study also reveals that the PS3 remains a popular search topic, especially in Africa and Asia.
This study sheds light on what people would likely be shopping for during this Holiday. With PS5 shortages continuing, it only makes sense that searches for PS4 and the PS3 would continue being popular. In fact, both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X remain in short supply, which led to oddities such as Xbox Series S becoming the best-selling console during this year's Black Friday Sale.
