One of the low-key great matchups in Week 4 of the NFL will feature the Las Vegas Raiders hitting the road to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Raiders are off to a 3-0 start while the Chargers sit at 2-1. Both are likely smiling seeing the Kansas City Chiefs at 1-2.

Raiders coach Jon Gruden is getting ready to face a lethal Justin Herbert on Monday night. Per the head coach, it will be a big challenge for Las Vegas.

“The quarterback’s a great player,” Gruden said. “He’s really something else to watch. He can throw, he can run. He’s smart. He makes good decisions. And they have a creative scheme. So it’ll be a challenge for us, no doubt — a big-time challenge.”

While most are drooling over Tom Brady's return to Foxborough or talking about the Arizona Cardinals – Los Angeles Rams matchup, the Raiders vs. Chargers battle should be every bit as good.

Gruden knows it will take a full effort from the Raiders' defense to slow down Herbert and the Chargers.

“It’s hard to just unleash the rush on this guy because they allow him to scramble — and he will scramble, and he will hurt you bad,” Gruden said. “So if you don’t protect the pocket, you have a lot of coverage down the field — he has [Mike] Williams and Keenan [Allen] and all their weapons — this guy will put the ball down and he’ll really hurt you bad running.”

Monday night between the Raiders and Chargers will be appointment television.
