There is a chance that Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp could return to the field this weekend and he is just grateful that there is a chance because the knee injury could have been a lot worse. When he went down in Denver with the knee injury it initially looked like it could be season-ending and he was carted off the field.

“It could have been worse,” Kupp said via the San Francisco Chronicle. “Guys in this league go through a lot worse. It's football. You know these things are going to happen. At some point, everyone goes through some kind of injury if you play this game long enough. Hopefully you'll just move through this thing and work through it and get back out there playing the game I love.”

Cooper Kupp said the first thing that went through his head when he was dragged down by the horse collar and he realized he was injured was how he was going to let down his teammates by not being on the field.

“The first thing that goes through my head as soon as it happens is, ‘I'm letting these guys down by not being able to be out there and compete,'” Kupp said. “You put so much time and effort into getting your body ready to play, and then when you're not able to because your body is not allowing you to, you feel like, ‘What else could I have done to prevent this from happening?'”

Rams head coach Sean McVay said he expects to have all of his receivers out on the field Sunday against the New Orleans Saints and the team is probably going to need them all. This is a matchup between two good offenses and chances are Kupp will be leaned on heavily if he is anywhere close to 100 percent.
